Saloni and Pradeep

Saloni  
Hi, I’m Saloni, and this is Pradeep. We’ve been clients with Bloom for almost a year, and James is our adviser.

The reason we got in touch with Bloom was that we’d reached a point where I wanted Pradeep to retire. I had to twist his arm into it. And so, what we needed was some sort of sense about how financially secure we were to do that.

The way we heard about Bloom was through recommendations from other clients who are friends, and we’d known Jess for a number of years, and we could truly understand her ethics were what we would want to ally with, and it felt very much like somewhere we could go with a lot of confidence. 

The reason we went with James was because when we first had the meeting with him, he was genuinely listening to our needs, objectives, and the strategy that we wanted to follow. After listening to us, he was able to give us the information that we wanted, he was able to answer any queries we had, and he was absolutely somebody we could confidently go with.

Since our meetings with James, it’s been really helpful to see that our future is really secure. The things that Pradeep had done over the years for our finances have put us in a really good position, and that wasn’t clear until we had the meeting with James. He was able to consolidate all the different things, bring them all together, and align them with what we were hoping our future would look like. He made it look like a reality.

Working with James and the team, their communication is very strong. They keep us informed all the way through, and we have regular touchpoints with them. They all seem like a very professional bunch of people who are very active and very knowledgeable, so I trust them. 

The three words I would use to describe James are knowledgeable, professional, and caring.

For me, the best thing has been the sense of clarity we’ve had, and having to answer some of the questions they’ve asked us has solidified what we really want to do rather than just going with the conventional ideas of retirement. We’ve had to actually think about what we genuinely want, and that’s been so good for us.

Pradeep  
The best piece of advice that James has given me is to look at the future and be confident about it. It’s given me some reassurance, particularly around pension planning. That, for me, has been the best piece of advice that I’ve had from James.

Saloni  
I would highly recommend Bloom, and particularly James. What they’re very good at is aligning your values, ethics, and all of those other things with a financial plan that feels realistic and that gives you a sense of confidence that you’ve been listened to and heard and that whatever advice they give you has been tailored towards what your own needs are.
