Richard and Paola

Richard 
Hi, I’m Rich, and this is my wife, Paola. We’ve been clients of Bloom for about three years, and our adviser is James Blackham.

Paola
We initially got in contact with Bloom because we had just sold our business, and we were thinking about what we were going to do with our future, whether we were going to retire or whether Richard was going to consider starting another business, and we needed some advice on where we stood financially.

Richard
I wanted more clarity on my financial arrangements; they were fairly complex, and I hadn’t really understood what they were about. I thought my previous adviser was very good, but he didn’t give me the clarity or the reassurance I needed. When I went to James, he achieved that in our first meeting. I understood what I had, and that was very reassuring going forward.

James has helped us immensely with the transition into retirement. It can be a very vulnerable time when you finish 40 years of work and find yourself in a place where you don’t work; you can feel very vulnerable and panic over the money, but James has reassured us and taken all that away. We feel positive about our future.
